The problem
The checkout funnel’s financial calculations decide what every order costs and what tax is due. A flaw in them meant tax was being overpaid.
What I did
- Led the investigation and the fix in the order calculation services
- Mapped and documented the financial processes with FP&A, product, category and data teams
- Kept every change backward compatible while on weekly on-call
Result
Close to ₺1 million in tax overpayment saved.
